What do you need to participate?

All you need is an internet connection and some common household items to make your own instruments.

Parents, don't fear! These sessions don't require any expensive music instruments, your child will learn to create music using items found around your house. 

We will make a different instrument each session using commonly found household objects such as pillows, saucepans and lids, cardboard tubes, plastic utensils and containers filled with rice/pasta/rocks.

Simone Reeder

Instructor

Simone is the mum of a rapidly growing 9-year-old boy and is amazed at how much he sings, makes up silly rhymes and taps out beats in the car. She has a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education from Monash University and a Graduate Certificate in Special Education. In 2017 Simone completed her Master of Music Therapy through the University of Melbourne. Simone continues to complete further training to help her stay up to date with the latest information and worldwide research. With Simone’s teaching experience, and music therapy skills, she is able to guide the children in a gentle, caring manner, helping both the child and the family, along the way. Due to Covid-19 Simone has been delivering her Music Therapy Sessions via Telehealth, proving that music therapy can work successfully online. Following the success of these online sessions, Simone has envisioned and created her first Online Music Series to support families and entertain children all over Australia and the world with her home-made instruments and collection of Australian Animals and Songs.
